So Gad came to David that day and said to him, “Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

Then David went up in accordance with the word of Gad, just as the Lord had commanded.

And Araunah looked down and saw the king and his servants crossing over toward him; so Araunah went out and bowed his face to the ground before the king.

Then Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” And David said, “To buy the threshing floor from you, in order to build an altar to the Lord, so that the plague may be withdrawn from the people.”

Araunah then said to David, “Let my lord the king take and offer up what is good in his sight. Look, here are the oxen for the burnt offering, the threshing sledges and the yokes of the oxen for the wood.

Everything, O king, Araunah gives to the king.” And Araunah said to the king, “May the Lord your God be favorable to you.”

However, the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will certainly buy it from you for a price; for I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

Then David built there an altar to the Lord, and he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And the Lord responded to prayer for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Israel.

이 날에 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 그에게 아뢰되 올라가서 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당에서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓으소서 하매

So Gad came to David that day and said to him, “Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

다윗이 여호와께서 명령하신 바 갓의 말대로 올라가니라

Then David went up in accordance with the word of Gad, just as the Lord had commanded.

아라우나가 바라보다가 왕과 그의 부하들이 자기를 향하여 건너옴을 보고 나가서 왕 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하며

And Araunah looked down and saw the king and his servants crossing over toward him; so Araunah went out and bowed his face to the ground before the king.

이르되 어찌하여 내 주 왕께서 종에게 임하시나이까 하니 다윗이 이르되 네게서 타작 마당을 사서 여호와께 제단을 쌓아 백성에게 내리는 재앙을 그치게 하려 함이라 하는지라

Then Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” And David said, “To buy the threshing floor from you, in order to build an altar to the Lord, so that the plague may be withdrawn from the people.”

아라우나가 다윗에게 아뢰되 원하건대 내 주 왕은 좋게 여기시는 대로 취하여 드리소서 번제에 대하여는 소가 있고 땔 나무에 대하여는 마당질 하는 도구와 소의 멍에가 있나이다

Araunah then said to David, “Let my lord the king take and offer up what is good in his sight. Look, here are the oxen for the burnt offering, the threshing sledges and the yokes of the oxen for the wood.

왕이여 아라우나가 이것을 다 왕께 드리나이다 하고 또 왕께 아뢰되 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕을 기쁘게 받으시기를 원하나이다

Everything, O king, Araunah gives to the king.” And Araunah said to the king, “May the Lord your God be favorable to you.”

왕이 아라우나에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 값을 주고 네게서 사리라 값 없이는 내 하나님 여호와께 번제를 드리지 아니하리라 하고 다윗이 은 오십 세겔로 타작 마당과 소를 사고

However, the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will certainly buy it from you for a price; for I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

그 곳에서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓고 번제와 화목제를 드렸더니 이에 여호와께서 그 땅을 위한 기도를 들으시매 이스라엘에게 내리는 재앙이 그쳤더라

Then David built there an altar to the Lord, and he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And the Lord responded to prayer for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Israel.
